Boracay

Boracay is a small island located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in Western Visayan region of the Philippines. You can either take a flight to Kalibo Airport which is around one hour and 30-minute drive to Caticlan or take the direct flight to Caticlan.

Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. It was awarded as the 2012 best island in the world from the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure. In 2014, the resort island was at the top of the Best Islands in the World list published by the international magazine Condé Nast Traveler. In 2016, Boracay headed the magazine’s list of Top 10 destinations to watch.

In recent years, development has swamped and spreading almost all areas in the island. It is the busiest island and has been known for its night life, the “Ibiza” island in the Philippines. The entire stretch of 7 KM white sandy beaches is divided into 3 zoning; Station 1, Station 2, and Station 3. Though this stretched of beach can be flocked with thousands either beach bums or just curios ones, it is the whitest powder sand and its turquoise water over-shadow the congestion. This is what makes this island the “Best Beach in the World”.

Willy’s Rock

Willy’s Rock is one of the most iconic landmarks on Boracay’s famous White Beach. Located in Station 1, this volcanic rock formation rises from the shallow waters and features a statue of the Virgin Mary nestled within a small grotto at its peak. Accessible by foot during low tide, Willy’s Rock offers a peaceful spot for reflection and panoramic views of the beach and sea. Its unique shape and spiritual significance have made it a favorite photo spot for both tourists and locals. Surrounded by turquoise waters and powdery white sand, Willy’s Rock stands as a serene and symbolic feature of Boracay’s natural beauty and cultural charm.

Kite Surfing

Kite surfing in the Philippines offers an exhilarating fusion of wind, water, and adrenaline—especially in top destinations like Boracay, Panglao, and Palawan. Combining elements of surfing, wakeboarding, and paragliding, kite surfing lets adventurers glide across the waves, propelled by powerful tropical winds. Bulabog Beach in Boracay is considered the country’s kite surfing capital, with ideal wind conditions from November to April and a vibrant community of local and international riders. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, certified schools and instructors provide lessons and rentals. With stunning backdrops, warm waters, and consistent wind, kite surfing in the Philippines delivers a thrilling experience in paradise.

Sunset in Boracay

The sunset in Boracay is nothing short of magical, casting a golden glow over the island’s world-famous White Beach. As the sun dips into the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of fiery oranges, soft pinks, and deep purples—mirrored by the calm, crystal-clear waters. Locals and visitors gather along the shore to witness this daily spectacle, often with sailboats silhouetted against the fading light. Whether viewed from the beach, a seaside café, or aboard a paraw sailboat, Boracay’s sunset offers a moment of peace, romance, and natural beauty—an iconic experience that captures the soul of island life.
