El Nido was named after the edible nests of swiftlets (collocalia fuciphaga), found in the crevices of its limestone cliffs. These nests, nido in Spanish, the main ingredient for the gourmet nido soup, are being sold at approximately US$ 3,000 per kilogram.

Kayaking in Small and Big Lagoon Around Miniloc Island

The Amianan Restaurant of the resort serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while light meals can be enjoyed at the pool bar. The resort offers a sustainable menu and uses organically grown produce from the resort’s organic farm in its gourmet dishes. For a more bespoke experience, the resort can also arrange an intimate dinner by the beach or nearby islands or a picnic lunch at one of its beach clubs.

Pangulasian Island, The Villas

The resort offers a total of 42 deluxe accommodation built with contemporary Filipino and cutting edge “green” design. Eight Canopy Vi las are perched on stilts above the forest, 24 Beach Vi las provides direct access to the beach and are close to the infinity pool and pool bar. Six Pool Vi las are situated at the west-side of the island each has its own 22 square-metre pool. For the ultimate in privacy, four Kalaw Vi las sit in a secluded cove at the west end of the island, with its own meeting room and private pool.

El Nido Resorts’ Eco-Delivery island resort, Miniloc, offers guests with a back-to-basics Filipino coastal village vibe with rustic or native design. It is also a gateway to discover and explore the popular attractions around Bacuit Bay, such as the Big and Small Lagoons and Snake Island.
